Winestate Magazine May/June 2006

2002 Shiraz stars
Powerful minty/eucalypt-like aromas. Attractive soft and savoury palate with a slight minty edge.

2002 Merlot stars1/2
A complex, old fashioned style with a ripe plum sauce nose and quite a tannic palate that shows a slight greenish edge.

2002 St Ignatius stars
Aged aromas - perfumed and spicy. Nice 'claret' - like palate with some herbaceous/cassis characters.

Huon Hooke, July 5 2005

2002 Merlot
Good merlot is a rarity at any price, but the trophy winning merlot from this year’s Sydney Royal Wine Show, Sevenhill 2002 Merlot is a delicious red from a winery that deserves a higher profile.

Philip White’s Top 100, Adelaide Advertiser

2005 Riesling (92 points)
Perhaps a little more gently fragrant that some of it’s predecessors, this gorgeous Riesling shows more pure citrus than their prominent flint and slate. White it has that ethereal sun-on-the-stubble whiff of summer terroir, it’s more like a bowl of mixed citrus, finishing with very fine soft tannins and perfectly balanced acidity. It’s more gentle than many Clares.
